Screenings

Screenings are quick and simple!  A screening takes about 10 minutes as our therapist looks at general skills to determine if anything needs to be investigated with more detail.  Your child may pass the screening, not needing therapy, or they mail fail it, which tells us to get an assessment to confirm or rule out a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan if necessary.

Assessments

Assessments are conducted utilizing clinical observation of play and communication skills, standardized and non-standardized testing instruments, and parent interview as appropriate. Following this assessment, you will be provided with a diagnosis and with a formal written report, which includes a proposed treatment plan.  Every child is unique and therefore treatment plans are designed in collaboration with the patient/caregiver to fulfill each child's individual needs while also being guided by research and clinical evidence.

We offer both focused assessments and comprehensive assessments depending on your child's specific needs.
