Visualizing & Verbalizing®

for Cognitive Development,
Comprehension, & Thinking

Our trained Lindamood Bell certified clinicians utilize the Visualizing and Verbalizing® (V/V®) program to work with clients that may benefit by a specific program that develops concept imagery in order to improve skills such as reading and listening comprehension, memory, oral vocabulary, critical thinking, and writing and various associated diagnoses such as hyperlexia, dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD),  Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), and autism spectrum disorders.  The program is designed to help each child based on his/her individual needs and levels to create an imagined or imaged gestalt from language—as a basis for comprehension and higher order thinking. Clients will work in sessions to develop these skills and continue the process at home throughout the program.
The intensive program is provided as 1:1 instruction and lasts 1-4 hours/day 3-5x per week for 8-12 weeks.  Several of our parents report multi-year grade bumps over the course of the 12 weeks.  Our speech-language pathologists will determine if this program is the best fit for the client and may recommend alternative speech and language therapy if indicated.  We use evidenced-based practice and decision making to ensure our clients receive optimal care and progress!
